Good Day everyone,
Regretfully, due to inclement weather conditions this weekend, we have to cancel our planned event for our National Range Day Celebrations.
We have re-scheduled to have an event on Saturday July 01 with a shortened time at the range so everyone could relax a bit on Canada Day and also give everyone time to be home for the BBQ supper with their family and friends.
So from 9.30 AM to 2.30 PM on JULY 01 will be our OPEN HOUSE RANGE DAY.
Thanks for understanding and we wish everyone can come along and join us for some fun at our facilities.
Have a Great and SAFE weekend everyone!

SIGHT IN DAYS
Rifle, Archery and Crossbow
The UPPER HUMBER ROD and GUN ASSOCIATION will hold this activity at our club range at 177 Goose Arm Road in Deer Lake
We are pleased to present the dates as posted below for the scheduled days prior to the hunting season.
The club will be assisting hunters to sight in their firearms prior to the up-coming hunting season. This will help with your marksmanship skills ensuring proper shot placement and hopefully a more successful hunting season with no losses or wounded animals escaping. This will also alert you of any firearms or equipment issues giving you time to correct any identified troubles prior to the hunting season.
Good Luck !
We hope all your hunting activities are safe and successful.
Archery and Crossbow targets are available for target arrows only. We have 3 targets that can be set up on a different range. Please call Wendell ahead of time if this is of interest to you.

A portion of the fees collected will be forwarded along with our own contribution to one or more of the following; The Western Memorial Hospital Foundation, The Janeway Children's Hospital or The Children's Wish Foundation so that the entire community may benefit from our outdoor activity. Donations to these charitable organizations help us, our children and their families in a time of need.
While at the range Hearing and Eye protection is mandatory for everyone near any shooting area and must be worn at all times during any shooting activity. Park in a safe area always !
Although the club has a supply of the safety equipment on hand, that supply will depend on the numbers of people present.

Fellow Trap Shooters,
The current weather prediction is for a better evening on Wednesday (sunny) over Thursday evening (rain). So, for this week trap will be rescheduled to Wednesday, August 31, 2022. To accommodate all shooters and take advantage of existing light, trap will start at 5:30pm. While this may not be a good start time for some shooters it will allow us to process early arrivals, who may be finished shooting by the time later arrivals show up. In any case, we hope to be able to continue shooting until the light dwindles.
Even if you arrive later you will be able to complete your shooting, so please consider attending.
Please note that trap is switched to Sunday afternoons, starting with the first Sunday after the Labour Day weekend. This start date was chosen as some shooters compete in the Atlantic Competition offered each year during the long Labour Day weekend. Details and confirmation on moving to Sunday will follow within the next week or so.
If you are interested in a trap shoot for this Sunday, please let us know well in advance and we will try to arrange it.
Regards,
Ed
