Youth Skills Event July 31, 2021

UPDATE

The Youth Skills Event will go ahead tomorrow rain or shine. Please bring along appropriate clothing for the day including sunblock and rain gear. Our weather could change drastically in a short time. More on the day's event can be found on a previous posting or on our website under NEWS.

Registration will start at 9 AM through to 9.30. We will be getting things started quickly thereafter with introductions and some range safety rules as well as some Covid related guidelines. Everyone entering the building and where social distancing cannot be maintained must wear a mask. Please sanitize your hands when entering and leaving the building. Please bring your own sanitization products and masks.

Volunteers are expected at 8 am to have time to prepare and set up for the day's event. Outside volunteers are asked to wear a safety vest for the day as well as masks when interacting with our youth or others who are not in your own bubble.

Food for the day will be provided through our assigned kitchen personnel who will have access to the kitchen area. Everything will be prepared by those persons and served in line with Public Health guidelines.

Our lunch will consist of BBQ hamburgers and sausage dogs which have been generously donated to us by Country Side Abattoir in Cormack. There will be no fee collected for meals for parents, guardians, or volunteers. Should you wish, donations towards these programs will be graciously accepted.

Thank you each and everyone for coming forward to help make this event happen for the youth of our province. We look forward to seeing our youth participants, parents, guardians and volunteers tomorrow for an exciting and rewarding day at the Upper Humber Rod and Gun Association in promoting outdoor activity.
